Congratulations Jessica!

Jessica has been selected as one of The Network Journal's 2008 “40 Under 40” honorees. The “40 Under 40” award recognizes outstanding achievement, contribution, leadership and influence in the corporate, non-profit, health, and entrepreneurial arenas, along with service to the larger African-American community.

Jessica is honored for her service on the boards of several social and civic organizations in New York City throughout her career, and as a contributing political writer for The Daily Voice, Black America’s Daily News Source. In 2007, she was appointed to the New York City Department of Health’s Syphilis Advisory Group (SAG) charged with devising innovative public health education strategies to decrease the incidence of infection among high-risk populations. She also received an Outstanding Citizen Citation from the New York City Council in recognition of her efforts to increase awareness about HIV/AIDS in the Harlem community via social marketing. Additionally, she is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (the Tau Omega Chapter in Harlem) and serves as chair of its Community Connection Committee. Finally, Jessica is recognized for her work as Co-Director of Better World Advertising’s NY office.

The awards will be presented during an evening gala on June 12, 2008 at The Crown Plaza Hotel in New York.
