BWA is Expanding its Team in San Francisco!

BWA is pleased to welcome three new staff members to the team in our San Francisco office. Lucia Casaravilla joins us as a Senior Project Manager, Helena Cross as a Project Coordinator and Eileen Chi as a Graphic Designer.

Lucia brings strong experience in program management and design, communications and community outreach to her role at BWA. Previously, she worked in Public Affairs at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC, where she built a career in international, economic justice and community service. She is a veteran of public information campaigns on economic literacy, and community- and global-based volunteer programs. She also headed the IMF's corporate philanthropy and community relations programs.

At BWA, Lucia will focus on the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) American Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN) Tobacco prevention campaign. She is excited to join the BWA team, support public health campaigns and contribute to this inspiring project.

Helena graduated from Stanford with a B.A. in psychology. She did several internships during her college career in social media and creative development. She has also served as a legislative aide for US Senator Tim Johnson (SD) and as a research assistant both at Stanford Life Span Development Lab and Harvard Medical School.

Helena will serve as the Project Coordinator for the FDA project. As a tribal member of the Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara Nation of Fort Berthold, ND, she is passionate about American Indian health. Her work at both the US Senate and Harvard focused on Native health issues. She is excited to contribute her knowledge and passion to the AI/AN tobacco prevention campaign.

Eileen got her B.A.s in Design and Communications from UC Davis. After graduating, she moved back to the Bay Area and joined a technology startup as their main graphic designer, and successfully navigated them through a full rebrand and website redesign. Heeding the call of her passion to use design for social change, she also spent time working with Lola’s Foundation to develop their brand identity.

Eileen is excited to use her skills as a graphic designer to help create a better world as a creative team member here at BWA.
