BWA takes Testing Makes Us Stronger to Fire Island

Last weekend, BWA brought the Testing Makes Us Stronger campaign to the 10th annual Fire Island Black Out (FIBO), a multicultural weekend celebration for the LGBT community and their families and friends. Over the course of the weekend, FIBO attendees enjoyed dance parties, barbeques, live entertainment, volleyball tournaments, pool parties, and the big beach party at Cherry Grove. Testing Makes Us Stronger, the CDC’s first national campaign specifically targeting black gay and bisexual men to get tested for HIV, was displayed on a mobile billboard, on the top of taxicabs and at a media table where BWA distributed campaign materials.
