BWA Wins 2014 Communicator Award for Testing Makes us Stronger

BWA is excited to announce that Testing Makes Us Stronger  was awarded a 2014 Communicator Award of Excellence in the Public Relations/Communications - Community Awareness Program category. Testing Makes Us Stronger is one of three BWA campaigns to receive an Award of Excellence this year, the highest honor granted by the annual Communicator Awards.

Testing Makes Us Stronger was developed for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to promote HIV testing among African American Men who have Sex with Men (MSM), a demographic experiencing sharp increases in HIV infection rates. The campaign was launched in six select U.S. cities with high rates of Black MSM and was represented at 15 gay pride events across the country. The compelling messaging and bold imagery of Testing Makes Us Stronger highlight the power and importance of knowing your HIV status.
