New Phase of Anti-Smoking Campaign Targets Low Income New Yorkers
Better World Advertising recently launched the latest phase of the Don’t Be Silent About Smoking campaign in New York State. For four years, this award-winning campaign has successfully convinced healthcare providers to play a more active role in helping their patients to quit smoking. The new ads target providers who see low-income Medicaid patients. Medicaid covers a disproportionately high number of smokers and many are unaware that Medicaid covers smoking cessation. We developed the new campaign in partnership with the Tobacco Cessation Centers of New York State. It will reach doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, as well as Medicaid patients.
