Testing Makes Us Stronger Campaign Launches in Atlanta!
Local officials and Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Dwight Eubanks joined BWA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at the launch of the Testing Makes Us Stronger campaign in Atlanta last week. The campaign focuses on HIV Testing for African American Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) who are disproportionately affected by new HIV infections. Testing Makes Us Stronger aims to demonstrate that knowing one’s HIV status is important and empowering information. The campaign’s bold images and messages are featured in ads in national publications such as Vibe, XXL and Bleu and websites such as Adam4Adam and BlackGayChat. Additionally, six cities, including Atlanta, with high concentrations of HIV infections within the Black MSM population were selected to feature local outdoor, transit and print media in order to best reach the target audience.
