WGN-TV honored for Foster Kids Are Our Kids campaign commitment

On October 27th Voices for Illinois Children held their annual benefit at the Mid-America Club. BWA co-sponsored the event and President Les Pappas and Project Manager Lorena Morales had the pleasure to attend.

WGN-TV was presented with the “2011 Kids Count Award” for their outstanding contribution and commitment to the Foster Kids Are Our Kids campaign, designed and implemented by BWA. WGN-TV Vice President and General Manager, Marty Wilke accepted the honor.

Illinois State Senator, Kimbery A. Lightford was also honored for her dedication to foster kids and Brigadier General Harry Sieben from Mission: Readiness was the featured speaker. The evening featured lively entertainment provided by The Chicago Sinfionetta, ChiArts String Quartet and the Chicago Public School for the Arts. A wonderful night in support of improving foster care for Illinois Children.
